Abour Candbag
Canbags, are as the name already says bags mainly made from recycled pop tabs. The bags come in many different shapes and sizes. This unique look makes the bag so interesting. From far away you might not even notice the pop tabs, but if you take a closer look, you can see every little pop tab, beautifully hand crocheted into the bag. You can see the effort and time behind it. Due to the unique design and material used, the bags are very special and not often seen. One Canbag takes me about 1-3 weeks. One Canbag belt takes about 4 days. Since I have to balance school and work life, it takes me longer than it would usually.
The Designer
I'm Maxima Céline, a 14-year-old living in Hamburg. With a quarter Turkish heritage and being born in the US, I have the privilege of speaking fluent German, Turkish, and English. Currently, I'm also dedicated to studying Spanish.
My passion lies in creating a brand that revolves around bags, with a unique twist. I aim to utilize recycled pop tabs, such as those found on Coca-Cola bottles, as the main material for my creations. "Why not transform what is often deemed as trash into something truly beautiful?" This question embodies my belief in the power of recyclable fashion. Joining this industry is a dream come true for me.
I've designed a few bag models along with complementary products like belts, earrings, and more. These will be launching soon, and I'm continuously working on new designs to cater to everyone's interests.
Teşekkürler, I hope you like my bags or the meaning behind it. I am excited to see where this goes.

Origin of Canbag
I got the idea for starting Canbag from my lovely mother. My mother is half Turkish and grew up in Turkey. She was so fascinated by the process, that she started to learn how to do it herself. She started to design some bags, but never really had the time to finish them. I was so interested and fascinated by the pattern and looks, that by the age of 14 I begged her to teach me. After a few weeks, I figured out how to properly crotched them and later on started to design my own different shapes and styles for handbags and more. I am still working and improving my design. I am always open to hearing feedback to improve my design and website if you want to leave comments here: contact
